• Parse.com REST API in Java (NOT Android)

  I am trying to use the Parse.com REST API in Java. I have gone through the 4 solutions given here https://parse.com/docs/api_libraries and have selected Parse4J. After importing the source into Netbeans, along with importing the following libraries: org.slf4j:slf4j-api:jar:1.6.1 org.apache.httpcomponents:httpclient:jar:4.3.2 org.apache.httpcomponents:httpcore:jar:4.3.1 org.json:json:jar:20131018 commons-codec:commons-codec:jar:1.9 junit:junit:jar:4.11 ch.qos.logback:logback-classic:jar:0.9.28 ch.qos.logback:logback-core:jar:0.9.28 I ran the example code from https://github.com/thiagolocatelli/parse4j Parse.initialize(APP_ID, APP_REST_API_ID); // I replaced these with mine ParseObject gameScore = new ParseObject("GameScore"); gameScore.put("score", 1337); gameScore.put("playerName", "Sean Plott"); gameScore.put("cheatMode", false); gameScore.save(); And I got that it was missing org.apache.commons.logging, so I downloaded that and imported it. • Greasemonkey @require jQuery not working "Component not available"

  I've seen the other question on here about loading jQuery in a Greasemonkey. Having tried that method, with this require statement inside my ==UserScript== tags: // @require http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1/jquery.min.js I still get the following error message in Firefox's error console: Error: Component is not available Source File: file:///Users/greg/Library/Application%20Support/ Firefox/Profiles/xo9xhovo.default/gm_scripts/myscript/jquerymin.js Line: 36 This stops my greasemonkey code from running. I've made sure I included the @require for jQuery and saved my js file before installing it, as required files are only loaded on installation. • Django 1.2 + South 0.7 + django-annoying's AutoOneToOneField leads to TypeError: 'LegacyConnection'

  I'm using Django 1.2 trunk with South 0.7 and an AutoOneToOneField copied from django-annoying. South complained that the field does not have rules defined and the new version of South no longer has an automatic field type parser. • How to fix the endless printing loop bug in Nevrona Rave

  Nevrona Designs' Rave Reports is a Report Engine for use by Embarcadero's Delphi IDE. This is what I call the Rave Endless Loop bug. In Rave Reports version 6.5.0 (VCL10) that comes bundled with Delphi 2006, there is a nortorious bug that plagues many Rave report developers. If you have a non-empty dataset, and the data rows for this dataset fit exactly into a page (that is to say there are zero widow rows), then upon PrintPreview, Rave will get stuck in an infinite loop generating pages. This problem has been previously reported in this newsgroup under the following headings: "error: generating infinite pages"; Hugo Hiram 20/9/2006 8:44PM "Rave loop bug. Please help"; Tomas Lazar 11/07/2006 7:35PM "Loop on full page of data?"; Tony Chistiansen 23/12/2004 3:41PM reply to (3) by another complainant; Oliver Piche "Endless lopp print bug"; Richso 9/11/2004 4:44PM In each of these postings, there was no response from Nevrona, and no solution was reported. Possibly, the problem has also been reported on an allied newsgroup (nevrona.public.rave.reports.general), to wit: 6. This posting did get a reply from Nevrona, but it was more in relation to multiple regions ("There is a problem when using multiple regions that go over a page-break.") than the problem of zero widows.

• F# Powerpack's Metadata doesn't recognize FSharp.Core as an F# library

  Here's my test code to isolate the problem: open Microsoft.FSharp.Metadata [<EntryPoint>] let main args = let core = FSharpAssembly.FromFile @"C:\Program Files\FSharp-2.0.0.0\\bin\FSharp.Core.dll" let core2 = FSharpAssembly.FSharpLibrary let core3 = System.AppDomain.CurrentDomain.GetAssemblies() |> Seq.find (fun a -> a.FullName.Contains "Core") |> FSharpAssembly.FromAssembly core.Entities |> Seq.iter (printfn "%A") 0 All three lets should give me the same FSharpAssembly. Instead, all 3 throw an exception that FSharp.Core is not an F# assembly (details below, re-formatted for readability). Two more clues: Using the core3 method, I get the same error for the test F# assembly itself I don't get the error at FSI after doing #r "@C:\Program Files...\FSharp.Powerpack.Metadata.dll". Any ideas? I'm using Visual Studio 2008, F# 2.0 and F# Powerpack 2.0.0.0 (May 20, 2010) release on an oldish XP VM, I think it's updated to SP3 though. (I got the error this morning with Powerpack 1.9.9.9, so I upgraded to 2.0.0.0. I thought that if 1.9.9.9 doesn't recognise F#'s 2.0.0.0's assemblies, then maybe bugfixes in Powerpack 2.0.0.0 would help.) • Using DirectX Effect11 with Visual Studio 2012

  I recently updated to Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate. I was programming previously with DirectX 11 June 2010 SDK and want to continue to do so using Visual Studio 2012. However, I discovered that VS2012 comes with its own DirectX SDK (in Windows Kit 8.0) and I've been trying to migrate my code using the newer versions of d3d11. Everything went fine until I try to use effect files in my project (.fx files). I had to compile the Effects11 Sample in the DirectX SDK using VS2012 and link the lib file in my project. That went fine too. However, when I compile my project the function D3DX11CreateEffectFromMemory returns a E_NOINTERFACE error (no such interface is supported). Can anyone tell me why is that? Note that I'm using the d3d11.lib from the Windows Kit and the d3dx11.lib from the DirectX SDK. Perhaps I shouldn't mix them? However, everything else works fine when I mix them, except for the effect file creation. Any help would be appreciated. P.S. I don't know if this is helpful but just so you know, if I add an additional library directory in the project settings of "DirectXSDKInstallPath\lib\x86\" it works. Why is that? Does it mean I'm using the older version of the libraries? This will give a ton of warnings about redefined headers in winerror.h

Then I closed the dialog using the cancel button, then again clicked the link to open the dialog and closed it. • Android: ProgressDialog.show() crashes with getApplicationContext

  I can't seem to grasp why this is happening. This code: mProgressDialog = ProgressDialog.show(this, "", getString(R.string.loading), true); works just fine. Inside cachedResponseForRequest: I modify the request, then send it out using sendSynchronousRequest. This works very well until you attempt to submit a form. If there is post data it fails. If i remove the HTTPBody and set the request to GET, it succeeds. But i need it to work with POST. If i send the request asynchronously it also works which is why i can't figure out why the synchronous request fails. I just want to be able to run my specs like I used to. As a separate issue, autotest yields an error about an include for autotest/growl but I installed autotest-growl. Maybe this is a gem issue? • Ruby Gems Not Installing, Hangs While Getting Gems

  I recently cleared out all of my ruby install and installed form sources using the instructions at hivelogic I have have been able to install a few gems, but most of the time, "sudo gem install rails" hangs. I've added the -V flag, and it just seems to hang, I don't get any error. And the process can not be killed. I can only reboot to kill the process.   I would like to parse a config file using glib in Codeblocks which I use. So I want to do exactly the example which is described here first. I have a file named myconfig.cfg and and a code programming.c. I just copy and paste the code to see if glib works but unfortunately it does not work. • Zend Studio Debugger returns Application Error

  When I run debug for my public/index.php I got an application error as output. I've seen that it occurs at this line: foreach($feed->findFeedEntries($entriesLimit) as $entry) If I put a breakpoint before this, all works as expected, I mean, the error is after the line above. If I remove findFeedEntries() method, I can perform debugging without erros.   I am working on a pivot table query. The schema is as follows Sno, Name, District The same name may appear in many districts eg take the sample data for example 1 Mike CA 2 Mike CA 3 Proctor JB 4 Luke MN 5 Luke MN 6 Mike CA 7 Mike LP 8 Proctor MN 9 Proctor JB 10 Proctor MN 11 Luke MN As you see i have a set of 4 distinct districts (CA, JB, MN, LP). Now i wanted to get the pivot table generated for it by mapping the name against districts Name CA JB MN LP Mike 3 0 0 1 Proctor 0 2 2 0 Luke 0 0 3 0 i wrote the following query for this select name,sum(if(District="CA",1,0)) as "CA",sum(if(District="JB",1,0)) as "JB",sum(if(District="MN",1,0)) as "MN",sum(if(District="LP",1,0)) as "LP" from district_details group by name However there is a possibility that the districts may increase, in that case i will have to manually edit the query again and add the new district to it. I want to know if there is a query which can dynamically take the names of distinct districts and run the above query. I know i can do it with a procedure and generating the script on the fly, is there any other method too? I ask so because the output of the query "select distinct(districts) from district_details" will return me a single column having district name on each row, which i will like to be transposed to the column.
